Today we have been investigating friction using car ramps and different surfaces. 

We have been discussing good listening skills in PSHE and used different conversation ideas to show good and bad listening skills. 

Today we have been doing investigations into water resistance. 

We have been making parachutes from different materials to test air resistance. 

Feeling very zen after our first yoga session. 

This afternoon we have started to learn about the Shang Dynasty in Ancient China. We discussed artefacts which had been found and what they might tell us about the time period. 

Today we have been investigating gears, levers and pulleys.

There is only one thing better than enjoying an amazing book which inspires the children…..hearing from the author of the book about how much he loves the work we have done. Well done year 5 and thank you S F Said. 

Year 5 are busy making Christmas cards for people who might be in hospital or a care home over the Christmas period. Such lovely children. 

It is sooooo cold we decided to do an experiment and see if we could freeze some bubbles. It worked. We watched them slowly freeze then collapse on themselves. Very exciting!
