Reception have enjoyed Red Nose Day.

In Reception Class we are learning all about Chinese New Year. We decided to turn our role play area into a Chinese Restaurant and have been busy taking orders and preparing them. We have even made a huge Dragon which will go on display at Tesco in Barrow. 

Reception have enjoyed investigating ice today in our outdoor area. We discussed what ice turns into when it melts, what ice was before it turned to ice, how we get ice, what makes ice melt. We made predictions and investigated how to make ice melt quicker. We found out that ice melted quicker in…

Reception are settling in well to the new year. We have worked as a team to make a huge 2024 display in the playground and made calendars to take home.

We've had a busy couple of weeks back after half term in Reception Class. We have introduced our new class text, I'm Going to Eat this Ant, and done lots of lovely learning around the text. Reception class really enjoyed a variety of our grown ups visiting for a stay and read session this afternoon. We enjoyed reading lots of different stories and heard some fantastic character voices being used. A great success and enjoyed by all.
