Poetry Workshop
Year 4 had a great morning with Rommi Smith (resident Piet with the Wordsworth Trust). We used our matchboxes of inspiration to collect natural items to inspire our writing.
Children in Need and Odd Socks
We had a dress down day (and at the first count raised £200) for Children in Need. We also wore odd socks to celebrate the fact that we’re all different and support Anti Bullying Week.
Lottie
Year 4 are enjoying getting to know Lottie the axolotl! We have to feed her live worms and be nice and quiet in class so she can relax.
Digestive System
We used coke, weetabix and pop socks to simulate the digestive system. it was great fun but very messy and quite disgusting!
Firework Art
We created our own scratch off pictures using pastels. We also drew fireworks with glue, added salt then dropped paint onto it.
Dribbling and Dodging
We improved our dribbling skills. We talked about using both sides of our feet and keeping the ball close. Then we played triangle tig and worked in groups to defend our friends.
Violins
We learnt how to put our violin on our shoulder and how to do a bowing action with our arm.
Networks and the Internet
We learnt about networks and the internet today in computing. First we went around school and found the switch and the server. We found out that we can open the same thing on different computers in school.Then we passed messages within a group and then around the whole class, using the switch to…
First Violin Lesson
We had our first violin lesson today. We learnt how to pick up the violin and which string is which. We did some keeping time games.
