Well done to everyone who took part in the girls football competiton at Furness Academy. Roose team won a game, drew a game and lost one. Amazing skills, teamwork and sportsmanship was on display by all. So proud of you all. 

We've done so well with netball training we are now playing matches. 

The story of the flood

Year 3 had a brilliant visit to Barrow Library. We enjoyed exploring the books and learning about the books. 

Lots of fun testing different materials to find out if they are electrical conductors 

Sarah from the Lake District National Park delivered a great workshop about the water cycle and how we use water. 

In maths this week Reception have been measuring and comparing size, mass and capacity. We compared sizes of animals, measured and compared our feet length, compared the capacity of different containers and compared mass using the balance scales 

In our Pathways to Write lessons we have enjoyed reading The Gingerbread Man. This week we have been retelling the story, acting out the story and designing new cakes for Mr and Mrs Baker to make in their bakery. We sent our designs off to Mr and Mrs Baker and they sent us some baking ingredients…
