WW1 day
We had a great day in year 1 when we dressed up in clothes from the World War One era. We learnt about school life and how different it was!
Year 1 Football with Barrow Community Sports
On Friday year 1 had their first football session with Barrow Community Sports. These are continuing until half term and are developing the children's football skills. This week we worked on using feet to kick and stop the ball, not hands!
Visit from the trenches
We had a visit today from a Private from the trenches and we read some of his letters back to his parents. We then wrote some of our own.
Grasmere village visit
On Thursday 11th September we went on a coach to Grasmere. First we had a walk around the village and visited the Gingerbread shop. We did a village quiz and also went to see William Wordswoth's grave. On the village green we had a picnic and watched a pirate do a dance. After lunch we went on…

Arts Award
Very proud of my little thespians as they achieved their accredited Arts Award this week. A fantastic performance from them all.
