Vegetable Cooking
We used the vegetables left by Farm to Fork and decided to make a vegetable soup. All children chopped up the vegetables and Mr. Thornhill cooked them...though, it actually turned out as a sort-of vegetable stew!
Farm to Fork Visit
Fiona and Viv from our local Tesco Metro dropped by to talk about where our food comes from. We looked, felt, smelled and tasted different kinds of bread. We also looked at a variety of vegetables.

Years 3 and 4 listened to the poem Dulce et decorum est and then made tiles using clay.

Years 3 and 4 worked together this morning to produce clay tiles after listening to the Wilfred Owen poem Dulce et decorum est.
WW1 day
We had a great day in year 1 when we dressed up in clothes from the World War One era. We learnt about school life and how different it was!
Year 1 Football with Barrow Community Sports
On Friday year 1 had their first football session with Barrow Community Sports. These are continuing until half term and are developing the children's football skills. This week we worked on using feet to kick and stop the ball, not hands!

We had a visit today from a Private from the trenches and we read some of his letters back to his parents. We then wrote some of our own.
