Class of 2027

The children completed a safety walk around school looking at any potential hazards, recapping our school rules and looking carefully for all the fire exits incase they hear the fire alarm. The children were very sensible and had excellent suggestions to keep themselves safe at all times.

The children enjoyed learning all about our SCARF scheme of work. Our first lesson was looking at feelings and how our actions can effect other peoples feelings. The children had a wonderful discussion about their emotions and we came up with the motto “It’s good to talk”.

Year 1 and 2 had a great time at the athletics event at Furness Academy.

Year 1 had lots of fun last week playing wheelchair Basketball

Year 1 enjoyed learning ‘London’s Burning’ in music and we thought of actions to go with the words. We even began to learn to sing in a round! 

Year one used lots of their enquiry and investigation skills to create a chair for the three bears to sit on. We loved learning about Goldilocks and the three bears and making it cross curricular. Well done Year One! 
 

We have enjoyed our superhero topic very much and finished off in true superhero style with a dress up day. We wrote amazing comics, experimented with mixing colours to make super hero biscuits, wrote and performed our own separate hero poem and had lots of superhero crafts! Well done Year…
