Some children mangaed to list directions for a figure to get the the centre of this maze. They used our Maths Vocabulary for this week: Clockwise, anti-clockwise, forward, whole turn, half turn, quarter turn and degrees!

We created different hexagons and indentified the different angles we created. This shape has got all the different types of angles we have been looking at: right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle and reflex angle. Can you find them all?

Whilst studying the topic of Japan, Year 3 have designed their own Kimono.
Tableau work
After reading 'The Shaman's Apprentice', we took one of the pages and created our own tableau - A freeze frame of a moment. We talked about what each character would be thinking. One character is thinking whether he should accept a gift from the other character.

We have been researching for information on the rainforest. Good team work shown and some great things found. We added text and a picture to Microsoft PowerPoint as a cheeky bonus!
A Fiery Mountain...a what?...oh...a Volcano
Following in Year 4's (messy) footsteps, we spread the mayhem to the Year 3 classroom. The school is beginning to look like the Pacific Rim!
